So, what would an actual 'biblical' flood look like ??

So, what would an actual 'biblical' flood look like ??
As noted by Min, it looks like ken Ham built his ark in the wrong place, however, even the current calamity isn't quite what Noah had to prepare for.

So, let's do the math:

6 1/4 inches of rain PER MINUTE

is

375 inches PER HOUR (only a very few places see that much rain in a YEAR !!)

and 375 inches is 31 1/4 feet by the way and that much rain per hour for an entire day is:

750 FEET of rain in one day !!

And that is 5250 FEET of rain in a week !!!!  (nearly a mile deep !!!!)

And after 40 days:

30,000 FEET of water, enough to cover all the mountains, and give Noah a grand planetwide ocean to drift across !!!!

I suspect that whatever jerkoff wrote that story would have been hard pressed to count to 21 ( 20 1/2 if he was circumcised) let alone the complex math you have there.  Nah, he made it all up.... just like the rest of the fucking bible.

and for anyone actually experiencing 'rain' like that, would they even call it rain ??

Your shower doesn't put out water that fast, and a firehose in your shower filling your bathroom at a more than a foot every 2 minutes would knock you down.

'Rain' ain't the right word, someone actually there would have been mortified (if not literally drowned) and would not have described it as merely 'rain'.

Well yeah this is like asking how would Domingo Gonsales' flight to the Moon tied to a flock of geese look like as it was described in Francis Godwin's early 17th century SF novel "The Man in the Moone". It wouldn't look like anything because it's totally impractical and impossible. When that book was written people didn't know anything about air pressure, vacuum, gravity, flight mechanics and many other things so the book seemed plausible for people of those times; just like writers of flood myth didn't know anything about size and shape of the Earth, geography, zoology, meteorology and so on and on.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

So where did all that water go afterwards? And if god can at will magic enormous amounts of water in and out of existence - why bother with 40 days of rain, instead of having the global ocean appear all at once? And while we're at it - surely, the omnipotent being could have just killed/disappeared every sinner or Earth (as well as the majority of all lifeforms on the planet, if he was so inclined) without any of this mess.

I'm beginning to think this whole story is a fairy-tale for particularly dim-witted barbarian goat-f*ckers...

People never think about how much water that is. At that rate the rainfall would suffocate and deafen any animals. And then calculate the additional weigh of all of that water. It's estimated that the Texas hurricane has already dumped 9 trillion tons of water. Imagine the increased gravity of 6 miles of water around the entire planet. It would disrupt the orbits of all of the solar objects.

Based on the prevailing winds of the middle east, after 40 days, shouldn't Noah have ended up in the Atlantic ocean?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

A god who has to kill everything to get rid of one kind of pest isn't worth bothering with.

Had it been high enough to cover all of the mountains on earth, the water would have frozen and breathing would have been pretty tough. I'm sure god helped with that though.
