This general needs to shake the tree a little harder.
Expel all of the white cadets (or at least threaten to) and see what happens. Or give all the white cadets the extra special duties (toilets, PK, night watch, what ever shit jobs the military has). Or, when not in class all the white cadets are confined to barracks and leave privileges are revoked.
Somebody knows who the racists are and will become willing to give them up.

I heard the general interviewed on NPR. He says they don't yet know who the guilty person is but is certain it's one person who wrote the messages, based on the handwriting. They'll figure out who it is.
I'd love to hear that conversation when fuckface has to explain to Mom and Dad why he isn't going to be an Air Force officer. That'll be a proud family moment.

You can't do that because it would be discriminating purely on the basis of skin colour which is bad mkay.

General Silveria handled it perfectly. He established message, threw down the gauntlet, and challenged his troops to actually think.
Glad he's in charge of an institution that has clearly had cultural tolerance issues in the past.
