Why does it not surprise me that you of all people tried to make this political. 

A brief message from the left; We feel this pain too. Innocent people died, many of which come from all walks of life, and politics. We care. Any innocent life lost is a tragedy.

 People died, and you try to spin one woman's words on it to represent an entire section of people, because you, like many, try to use a tragedy to push your own agenda. It takes a lot to disgust me, but you, you really do. Although i bet you get off on the disgust of other people, it's the only logical explanation for shit like this.

Don't be such a hypocrite. This conversation had already devolved into a political discussion and Christian bashing session. The Crusades even somehow managed to make its way into the discussion, for whatever relevance that was. The zealot on the left that worked for CBS who made those comments regarding the people who were shot in Las Vegas is directly related to this event and is news worthy.

Oh sure, the comments are related, but you took it, and decided it represented a whole group of people, because you seem to have this inability to realize that some people are cunts, regardless of political stance.

I'm from the left, and i sure as hell don't like seeing people die, regardless of what their politics are. It's almost as if political stance has very little to do with whether someone can feel sympathy for people who've witnessed a horrific event, what a bizarre concept, right?

You don't have to go back a thousand years. Ever heard of Bosnia and Herzegovina? No? Maybe the 90's was too long ago. How about the Central African Republic? Christians started slaughtering Muslims there in 2012 and haven't stopped yet.

Better yet Rwanda. The catholic church instigated and controlled many of the massacres in that country, and Rome did its utmost to shelter and protect the worst offenders in the priesthood from legal consequences arising from their genocide.

I won't offer any personal opinions as I haven't grown up in the American culture. But from a logical perspective, how could he have carried out those killings without guns? At the end of the day, sure he was crazy, give him a knife or a baseball bat, let's see how many he can kill?

Can we please just take everyone who loves their guns more than they love human beings, and put them off on an island somewhere.  Like.. IDK.  Then they can own all the guns they want.  We'll even pay to send them there.  they can build all the walls they want to keep out 'illegals' and whatnot.

But you are right, that was 1,000 years ago, with people using the same bronze age morality of the book you read today, so get a clue, why would you still value that old book? But it did guide them in that brutality and to claim it did not is absurd. It guided them in that brutality in the same way you accept that ISIS uses the Koran today.

Yeah I think the mistake we made was sending them to a very very large continent. I think the solution now is for America to split in two. The crazy religious gun toting nuts can live in the south and everyone else can live in the north. Give everyone a chance to make a decision whether they want to live north or south and then build a new border. Once people have made their decision to live in the south though they don't get to change their mind. Instead they have to stay there and deal with the consequences (or flee to Mexico). But northerners who like the idea of living in a gun ridden theocracy are free to move south on condition that they don't return.

That way everyone is happy (except the Mexicans).
