Do you suffer from short term memory loss? It has been explained to you in some detail why Stalin did what he did. The first duty of any despot worthy of the name is to remove any and all opposition, the church wielded great power and influence.
It had to go.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

In the book encyclopedia of wars it says out of 1763 wars only 126 were caused because of religion. Theists also defend themselves by saying that atheists have killed more people than religious people (Stalin, Zedong...). How would you respond? Does religion play a role in wars or it has nothing to do with it?

Economics would be the primary cause (at the root of it; the motivation of those in power to declare wars, at any rate) but you can't argue that the religious mindset of blindly accepting authority, hostility toward outgroups, etc., make it very easy to turn otherwise peaceful folk into bloodthirsty killers and manipulable sheep. So, is religion the (primary) cause? Maybe not. But the means of making it actually happen? Fuck yes. And it's not diminished in the slightest in helping this along even now.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

You can be a militant anti-religionist. Anti-religionism is a cause, and you can be militant about it. You can even be a theist and be anti-religionist. But anti-religionism is not a particularly extreme version of atheism. It's its own belief.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

You mean societies whose religion is cult of personality:

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Or better yet, in what way is what anything those regimes do able to be considered rational? How about seeing how well they fare when they use logic and reason for everything, think they might be able to get away with the same crap?
