BTW, historically, the RCC has offed some folks that perhaps, if they had made their particular offenses this century, might not have been offed.
So, I'm assuming the current admin might take issue with some of their predecessors actions in this regard.
So, a question arises, has the church absolved those predecessors of their crimes and offenses, and if so, isn't that a conflict of interest ??

Considering 'sainthood' (in a universe with the actual Abrahamic deity) is = to idolatry, yeah, saint hood might be a form of absolution.
And the 'saint' would be now, and forevermore, eternally incinerating in the fiery lake of fire.

I don't know what reputation the Catholic Church are trying to protect anymore, the cats been out the bag for years and it was no.1 in a long list of reasons I left the faith. I just think it's regretful so many of these shits have died without seeing justice for their violations.
