It's just a fallacy of equivocation via conflating the connotation of "unnatural" in the sense of "bad" and the denotation of "unnatural" in sense of "less common". It wouldn't even fucking matter if any sexual oritentation were a choice.

I take them at their word when they say they believe homosexuality is a choice. They can't handle believing it isn't because that would mean God deliberately made these people like that. That is unacceptable because their holy book clearly spells it out as being immoral. Plus, they probably have a natural or culturally-nurtured revulsion of homosexuality which also rules out God having made them that way.

So if they really believe it is a choice, then yes, it's a natural progression to worry about a large percentage of the population becoming gay. It's utterly ludicrous but no more so than some of the other fundamentalist beliefs.

I think they worry about it because they spend entirely too much time thinking about gay people having gay sex in gay ways.  There's a strong correlation between hatin on gays and getting the chub from gaypron, food for thought.
