That's because math is part of the conspiracy, dude.

I broke my math bone in the 5th grade and it never healed properly. But I still don't buy Big Disk's confabulations.

I'm surprised that nobody caught the creative editing in their wiki as opposed to wiki.

-for reference....

from earlier, FES internal wiki.
Quote:At the point chosen for all the experiments the river was a slow-flowing drainage canal running in uninterrupted straight line for a six-mile stretch to the north-east of the village of Welney. The most famous of the observations, and the one that was taught in schools until photographs of the Earth from space became available, involved a set of three poles fixed at equal height above water level along this length. As the surface of the water was understood to follow any hypothetical curvature of the Earth, the observation that the three poles aligned perfectly when observed through a theodolite serves as evidence of a flat Earth.
-and now
Quote:In 1901, Henry Yule Oldham, a reader in geography at King's College, Cambridge, reproduced Wallace's results using three poles fixed at equal height above water level. When viewed through a theodolite (a precision instrument for measuring angles), the middle pole was found to be almost three feet (0.91 m) higher than the poles at each end.[10][11] This version of the experiment was taught in schools until photographs of the Earth from space became available.

To this day I can't decide if this flat earth caper is one of the most elaborate jokes ever, or those people actually believe it.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

I'd be curious to speak to a flat earther myself and see what they say. Ive never come across one anywhere though.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Here they are, behold the massive amounts of delusion.
What I found surprising was the smugness, they are the ones who can "see the truth" of the overarching sphere conspiracy to keep them down for (reasons to be disclosed later).
Some of them do not seem to be retarded just very, very insane.

Hm interesting. Seems pretty inactive otherwise I'd be tempted to join.

You can't argue with stupid
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!

I wouldn't argue, just listen. If someone wants to believe the earth is flat, it's no skin off my back.

Theres also something about a dome, a tiny sun and a self lighting moon.
