How atheist are you?

RE: How atheist are you?
I find it funny that you guys add decimal places to a pure integer scale Tongue

I've always considered myself to be on the 6 side of it.

But, if we apply the word God on the descriptions to mean any particular god from the monotheist religions, then I think I'm more in the 7 region.

I'm so atheist that my dream job is working in a hospice, holding the hand of the dying and telling them I'll see them in oblivion. But seriously, who has time for that shit?

Disregarding the ratings, Im a strong but agnostic atheist. I believe there is no God due to the utter lack of evidence for such a grand entity, but I dont know if God does not exist. By God, I mean simply a being with a mind/intelligence that is far superior to anything else in existence. If were talking Creator God, however, then yeah, Im confident it does not exist so long as logically impossible things cannot occur.

On a scale of 1 -10, how fucking tired would you say you are about this fucking scale?

Is this some kind of popularity contest? No thanks, had enough of that in high school.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I was a hospice volunteer for a while. It was one of the most rewarding time of my life. I would recommend it to anyone.

Yeah I actually did consider doing the same but haven't yet.  And no, I actually wouldn't make it all about me in this way though I enjoyed the humorous effect.

I'd be more interested in your reaction to my post #8 on this thread, Neo.  Not that you haven't read it before but I think the latest iteration is probably influenced by the novels I've been reading.  What do you think, am I on to something?

My 'Fucking Scale of Fucking Tiredness' is logarithmic, so ....11.

Well, there is a natural tendency to anthropomorphize and it's perhaps necessary for true piety. It's hard to relate to an incomprehensible Supreme Being. I find it much easier to pray to Jesus as Lord than the Unmoved Mover. Smile
