CL, I don't mean to be offensive, but how do you know how millennials behave in the work place? Haven't you decided that work isn't right for you? That would render your point moot because, A. you don't work with millennials and B. you don't have a work ethic. To be clear, I am 100% okay with people deciding to stay at home. I don't care what people do or don't do for a living in general. I just find, if I have your situation correct, which I may not, that your position could be a little hypocritical or even uninformed. Feel free to correct me.

I think you're taking my comments here a bit too seriously. It's just a funny video and I see some truth to it. Doesn't mean every one of us millennials are like that. I never said anything about social security, gay marriage, and paternity leave. And while it's true I quit my job when I was pregnant (aka sick) last year and haven't gone back to work since, I did work mainly restaurants and retail since I was 16 and up until that point.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

My comment wasn't a response to you until the part where I addressed you. The "stupid millennials" line was a sarcastic comment in general.

I obviously did misunderstand your position on work, though. I thought I had seen you comment that you decided not to work after you got married because the workforce wasn't for you. I must be misremembering. I wasn't under the impression that you've only been out of work for a year, so my comment to you clearly doesn't apply. So, you get your impression that some of this is true from your experience in retail/restaurants?

Yeah, I know plenty of people in this age group, and most of them work pretty hard. Of course, they had degrees, at least the ones I worked with. You couldn't get an engineer job there without one. My generation (boomer) got a little burned in the video, but what was said was true, so, OK.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

(I found out in college that career wasn't for me and my real calling was to be a wife/mom, but I still worked entry level stuff after marriage, mainly waitressing, with some periods of unemployment due to moves in military life)

Theres always some lazy/whiny people at every job, but I'm not sure that's so much a generational thing as it is just a personality thing, and isn't what I'm referring to. I'm referring to the obsession with social media... and it is true that the younger mellenials see Facebook as being for old people which i had heard before. And the whole culture of safe spaces, triggers, political correctness, etc, is what I meant about entitled and easily offended.

Huh? I always thought a millennial was someone born after the year 2000, lol. I mean, you're good looking but I honestly never knew you were 17!
I thought it was someone born after the millennium.

I guess I have no idea what a millennial is lol.

Apparently I didn't have the correct definition of "millennial", and I AM a millennial!

Dunn, dunn, dunn!!

I have to correct my stupid ass friends on this all the time. They're always retweeting stupid memes.

As a reward, I would like my money back from Social Security or the ability to use it in my retirement years.

Good luck with that.  I'm also hoping I'll get to use what I put in eventually.  But I won't start drawing until I'm 66.  Lets hope that by the time you're ready for yours the age requirement isn't up to 85.

I think this is more generation Z. Most millennials are out of college and use Facebook.

RE: Please Tell Me This Isn't True
Unfortunately, there are bunch of different year ranges, depending on where you look. It's usually only by a few years, though. This one puts the end of Gen Y at 1995. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/six-livin...k-fischer/ The one I usually see sets it at 1996. The whole "Facebook is for old people" thing is definitely a Z thing. My nieces and nephews barely use it, so I've had to try to navigate SnapChat. Blech.
