If a man is found not-guilty by a jury of his peers, does that mean the jurors are necessarily convinced he’s innocent?
Alternately, if I assert to you that a jar filled with gum-balls contains an even number of them, do you accept my assertion? If you don’t accept it, does that mean you’re convinced the number of gum-balls in the jar is odd?

Not being convinced of A . Does not mean your asserting B . It means your not convinced of A.

I disagree. Post-bong-hit, Agnosty's posts make perfect sense. There are problems with logic, yes. But I don't think this is trolling. I think the issue here is that Agnosty has something significant to say, but he struggles in articulating it, and also (to his detriment) makes claims about empiricism and science that don't hold water.
It's coming across as deepity, but it's more like "confused profundity." Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I stand by my non-troll statements.

I am always suspicious when folks are not forthcoming about what their position is. To me that’s more tactical than anything else. Then again, I jumped in rather late, so maybe I’m jumping the gun.

Likely another nutter who thinks he's found a brilliant argument for god, by way of calling the universe a god. I wish it were more complicated..but in my experience, it never is. One of those folks that thinks that the existence of the universe is somehow a problem for narrow minded atheists like myself.

What?!? Problems with logic? Dispense with the illustrations or can the allegations. You're talking out your backside and doing a mighty poor job convincing me to hang around with this unsubstantiated indictment and slanderous censure.

Articulation is precarious, especially if consideration is given to the foggy perspicacity of the audience.
Quote:and also (to his detriment) makes claims about empiricism and science that don't hold water.
More unsubstantiated conjecture.

All calumny aside, first inspect your comprehension for holes before judging my depth.
This is your idea of "cordial conversation"? Baseless slurs against my acuity? The sole reason I remain is at your request and if anyone seriously suspects me of trolling, I can answer that promptly in action.
It's abundantly clear there is nothing to be gained in the company of such dogmatic lot resorting to reflective ad hominous attacks completely in lieu of sapiophilic aspiration. I'm a glutton for punishment in offering one more chance to shelve the ad homs as I have no evidence to foundation a belief that anyone here can operate in otherwise manner. One more time and I'll shake the dust from my shoes and return you to your echochamber for which you apparently long.

Obviously.

From the adhominator whose brilliant response was "TL;DR". I loathe to imagine what miserable person you are in real life to be such an ogre online.

I think we broke it.

Then define agnosticism. Can't have two words meaning the same thing.
Nice duck-n-run from the rest of my post, btw.
There is a reason it is much repeated and that is that it is the case.
Now people can be atheist for a number of reasons.
1: They may believe that there is no way that there can be a god.
2: They may not have seen an explanation of what a god is that makes sense in the real world.
3: They may currently not believe in god but be open to compelling evidence.
4: They may just not care and so haven't formed an opinion.
I'm between 2 and 3 myself.
Agnostic is a kind of atheist, it certainly isn't a kind of theist.
Thanks for playing.

Unoriginal, unimaginative, blatant troll.

This thread is FSTDT gold, I know that much.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
