Nothing at all. Christian fundies claim the one depends on the other, however.

I guess that is just one more thing of which you are unaware.

Oh, he's aware of the things he claims, all right. But like all other fundagelicals, Huggy is a lying bastard.

When I say "I do not believe in your god," it is a complete statement in itself and requires no embellishment and no evidentiary support.  When a believer then asks "So where did ________ come from?" that is a separate issue that has nothing to do with the fact that I do not believe in your god.

Believers, if you really want to know the current state of abiogenesis research, I'm sure there are journals out there that will explain matters to you far more thoroughly than we can.  I'm not at all convinced that you want to know, though.  I think you've gotten entirely too comfortable in your cushy beliefs, and can't be arsed to challenge them.  You'd rather play "Gotcha!" games with us because, for whatever reason, our disbelief offends you and you want to aggravate us in turn.

From this point forward, the only science you're getting from me will be links to appropriate peer-reviewed journal articles.  You can do your own fucking research.
*emphasis mine*
NEWS FLASH: ABIOGENESIS IS A BELIEF ALSO! Apparently we can't be "arsed" to challenge any of YOUR beliefs ...
Also since when has an 'explanation' become evidence?
I believe Abiogensis is possible, what's your point? It still has nothing to do with Atheism.

The argument you seem to be trying to make is that "Atheists believe in stuff too", well yes we believe in all sorts things. Atheism is not tied to science in any way, it is simply a rejection of the god claim.

Let me make the difference real simple for you:

All Christians believe in God = True

All Atheists believe Abiogenesis = False

Huggy we know your a fundie. Why? Because every time you're on here you spout the exact same fundie bullshit talking points in the hopes that doing the same thing over and over again will lead to different results.

It's all right to lump person A into group B when they constantly do and say stuff that points to their affiliation to the group.

Yeah, it's amazing, isn't it? We're past Huggy not understanding 5th grade science. We're now at the point where he doesn't understand words and their meanings.

The clause "so far" doesn't mean what Huggy thinks it means. It doesn't mean "Everything is hunky dory with these wolves, so move along." It means "These documented problems will inevitably become a problem for the population on the whole." It's an implication. It's why the recommendation is for external breeding stock to be introduced, the sooner, the better.

And, it's not like Huggy hasn't been confronted with this before. We've pointed out what minimum viability usually entails in terms of numbers of breeding pairs (hint: it's a hell of a lot more than what the bible claims was on the impossible Ark), and what will happen if it's not met. But, he's so consumed with proving us wrong that he's either unwilling or unable to learn and understand. He's more concerned with shoving his myths in our collective faces than actually understanding the world.

Huggy, like so many theists, is a reverse skeptic. He immediately buys into shit that cannot be proven, and is more than likely a bunch of bullshit (see: his assumption regarding Marilyn Hickey's missing uterus, Prophet Yaweh's UFO/angel summoning powers, the story of the Ark, etc.), but is skeptical of things directly observed/experimented/measured. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Guys, you're missing the big picture, here!
MAGIC!

MAGIC, made by the creator of everything.
Magic can create genetic diversity where there was none.
Magic can take a wild beast and make it survive on nothing but air for 40 days and 40 nights.
Magic can make these creatures travel away and back to their habitats.
Magic can make them fit on any boat.
Magic can keep an unsustainable boat afloat.

MAGIC.
God has it. Do you?

Ask him for some magic and he might just impart some kindness into your enemies' hearts, or bring total strangers to your aid, or even cure certain diseases that those lowly scientists claim 98% of people die of them.

Call now, 555-believe.

For huggy, any string of words which appear to him to support his belief contitute a valid and unanswerably sound argument. There is no need to identify any rule concerning validity or soundness. Soundness and validity is defined not by evidence or logic, but the conclusion. If what appears sound to him does not convince others, then adapting a stridently didactic tone appears to him to add to his powers of browbeating.

This is why while he may not be quite as despicable as drich, he is just as worthless as a counterpart for any meaningful discussion.
