I also have a future goal of going on a multi month long bike/climbing tour in the southwest.   Bike tourers bike between 60 and 100 miles a day. Do im working up to that. I've found ubereats to be a totally fascinating system. So ask me questions! I'll give you the skinny..

Being the healthy smoker beer drinker, meat eater, I am the one to get advice from.  Big Grin

Now im picking up something in a waffle shop. Im waiting in the shop, which is unusual. It smells amazing.

McDonald's you are always waiting. In Portland they are all staffed by lazy white people.

This place is so busy for waffles at lunch.

Those people so close! Speaking of lazy. Lol.

$7.04 took me 5 minutes. And the audio went out on ubers maps. Which is super annoying.

But they were so close it didn't matter. Starting to drizzle but i think ill do another one. I dont feel cold at all anymore.

Its not just lazy people, busy housewives, shut in who never have eaten at some of these places, stoners and bussiness people are all an even split.

Rain is picking up and waiting again. I might call it. Wasnt even planning on doing any.

Just sent off my bi-weekly complaint to uber. About the audio going out on their program. Im pretty bitchy to them and they are really nice to me. But they make more money and aren getting lost on a bicycle. Even with it being mega slow and having these weird wait times i still am making 14 $ an hour.

Think ill just bike back home and it i getone more on the way ill take it.

What does being lazy or being  a housewife have to do with shit?

If work was always supposed to be hard, then why do humans constantly invent things to make their lives easier?

I think you mistake productivity as constituting indentured slavery. Nobody likes to work, at least not to make someone else rich at the expense of being miserable themselves.

There was a time when humans didn't even have bikes.

I think not enough humans understand the ability to extend their work when they have already financial and family support, vs not having that.

If you already have money you can set your own hours and decide at what pace you want to work. It isn't as easy when you are under paid without the same support.

I think most humans look to be lazy, most humans would rather focus on what they personally like and want to do than to work to make someone else rich.

If it was all about running yourself into the ground, we'd value the Pony Express instead of using e-mail and PMs on social media.

Hmm, im in a restaurant district and still waiting. It stopped raining. Normally you never wait this long. I once turned on the program on past midnight and got requests .

As usual i have no idea what Brian is talking about. This is just my more or less breakdown of who uses ubereats. The women with kids aren't lazy, they are busy or dont want to take three small children into their favorite restaurant.

There definitely are lazy people/ stoners. Its oregon so if you get stoned you dont want to drive to get food.

I'd say the number of people who use it cause they are lazy is vastly outnumbered by the people who use it cause they are busy.

And im not "running myself into the ground " Im getting in shape for a bike tour/climbing trip.

Also I don't need the money. I just need the motivation to keep peddling.

Decided to do one more. Super annoying. Biking was fine, but the drop off was in an office building designed by a moron. Nobody knew where the place I was going in it was, even though it ended up being right next to the lady i asked who tried to send me up three flights of stairs to ask someone else who wasn't even there. I used my excellent customer service skills to scowl and adk her how she can not know about the room literally right next to her. Since she can't rate me, i can be rude as i want. Really i can be rude to 15% of people. You get fired if your approval rating goes below 85%. So that dumbfuck can eat a dick. She was both mean and unhelpful.

Ripped glutes?

I wish we had something like that out here - get run over by a quarry truck though.  Get an autograph?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No, I don't follow basketball at all. I just handed him his order (yogurt and fruit and nut smoothie thing) and he said thanks and I left. I can't say who it was, but here is a hint: he was really tall.

It was at the basketball stadium, I just thought it would be for a security guard or something because they get stuff delivered a lot.

No. I think about getting one, but I just blast music on a Bluetooth speaker to let people know I am coming.
