Quote:First, literally no one thinks Moses wrote the Bible, the Bible is comprised of 66 books written by like 40 different people over a period of around 1500 years, Moses is credited with 5 of the books. And in order to write those he would have had to narrate his own death. That would be quite a trick, eh. Moses is fictional....just like all the rest of the supposedly holy phonies. Quote:I wouldn't hold to much stock in a youtube vid. The city of Gath has been found and a piece of pottery with the name Goliath on it. Could be she is wrong, very wrong, I know she is.This does not prove dick 1. Finding a city no more proves the story of the bible . Then the existence Sparta supports Greek mythology . 2. Finding pottery with the name Goliath on it . No more supports the bible. Then the name Hercules being found on objects supports Greek mythology Quote:Moses is credited with 5 of the books.Which he did not even do .

The seals don't mention David or Salomon, but just that some type of government was there (may not even be Jewish) and the rest is just speculation, which is of course more then enough for people desperate to believe.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

All it says is that it shows evidence of 'some' type of government activity was conducted in that period, not evidence of David and Solomon, she would have known this, as you rightly pointed out the find happened before the video, she would be well aware of it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/a...ry-BC.html They don't directly reference David or Solomon, but do provide evidence of government activity during that period It's amazing what extra's theist read into discoveries. Quote:I suspect this was the verse referred to Quote:You're allowed to remarry if the reason for divorce was infidelity. That's not actually what it says it simply says ' anyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of chastity, causes her to commit adultery;' in other words she has already caused her own adultery, it then goes on to clearly say 'and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Paul however makes it very clear. Romans 7:2,3 A married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. This means that if she is married to another man while her first husband is alive, she is guilty of adultery. She is free to remarry without guilt only if her husband is dead. 1 Corinthians 7:10,11 But if she departs (if divorce has occurred), she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. Clearly remarriage is not a scriptural alternative. You may adjust it like so many scriptures to make it what you want, as Christians mostly do to their own creed, cult and desires. But that is not what it says to the reader. Clearly some like yourself interpret in different ways to others of your mythology cult, bottom line is though, no one really takes much notice of those rules, which if i'm not mistakes was the point of the poster.

Moot point.
Infidelity already prohibited. A commandment as a recall, and a few reinforcing verses to boot. Malachi 2:16 “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,”[a] says the Lord Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful. Seems like merely trying to not do that which is forbidden would be considered 'slacking off' by a True Believer. Imbibed with all that religious zeal should make obedience a cake walk. A mighty pillar, right ? The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Hey don't get fooled by sensational journalism, if you read the article you can see there is no inscription that it was by David or even by Jews. Not just that but you can go to Jerusalem and travel guides will point you to pile of rocks and claim that it was put there by king David. It can all be seen in Francesca Stavrakopoulou's documentary about absence of evidence for David. In it you can see how eager Jews are to find evidence and basically every rock they uncover they first proclaim that it must have been put there by king David. Also when you come to Jerusalem today guides will tell you how this pile of rock and that pile was put by king David although it's not. So you can see how finding evidence for David is fueled not just by money that tourism brings in but also politics.
