Food or sex? Which would you give up?

Yea. Sex with myself sometimes beats (no pun intended) dinner but it feels more like a frustrating need than anything, most of the time.

We've all been there at one point or another, where the frustrating absence makes the delightful a bowl of tantalizing grapes ... which we judge sour for not being able to enjoy them. At least that's how it felt for me. Quoth George Castanza: "I'm a sexual camel!"

But man, the water at the oasis is sweet indeed. Nutriment provided as per OP, I could live without food, enjoyable though the experience of eating a great dish is. But living without intimacy, well, that's a tough row to hoe.

I've only ever experienced emotional intimacy on the internet . . .

Once I get it in RL I am sure I wouldn't be able to live without it either. I'd get hungry. And not for food. Or even sex per se. But sex would be a huge part of it.

Since we're not talking biological needs such as sustenance, but considering them in the abstract, I don't understand why  half the folks here apparently garner more pleasure from eating than lovin'. The closeness that comes with loving your partner, the expression we give it in sex, to me far surpasses the temporary pleasure of eating a good dish well-made.

Horses for courses, I guess.

Sex isn't about love or expression for me, it's a physical act that feels good. Since we are talking about no longer enjoying the feeling it's easier to give up.

I suppose everyone has their own take on it. It's not something I'd share with a gal I don't love, nowadays -- I tried that for myself when I was younger and just don't feel the same intensity. I can jack off and get the same end result. What makes lovemaking special to me is the gal with whom I'm sharing the moment, any more.

Yes I 100% one day wanna have some sex that doesn't just feel like enhanced masturbation with another person.

But for at least 10 years I'd totally take that enhanced masturbation with another person.

One day I really do want some sex that feels more than just physical pleasure, though.

I mean, hell, I've already experienced a huge difference in quality between emotionless and emotional cybersex so I one day wish to experience that in RL. Without the emotions cybersex just feels like enhanced porn but even cybersex can feel meaningful and amazing when the emotions are there.

Meaningless sex is still fun as fuck, but meaningful sex is totally better. I gotta get myself all of the above at some point though.
