Atheism in control would be bad

Assigning values to beliefs -- or their absence -- is silly. There are good Christians and shitty atheists, good atheists and shitty Christians. Christian values didn't keep the Catholic hierarchy from protecting molesters in their midst, haven't kept 7DAs from killing children by refusing their health care, didn't stop "kill 'em all, God will know his own", and so on. None of my values arise from atheism at all, so I'm unsure what the point is there.
Just a shot at the jesus freaks who seem to think that the US was founded on xtian values..... whatever the fuck those may be.
