Dealing with racists

RE: Dealing with racists
Definitely report him. That sort of thing just shouldn't be tolerated. I would've stayed in the queue, given that guy a dirty look, and given the black guy a tip, making sure the racist guy saw me. But I do get why you didn't do any of that, but make sure you let him know that you don't like or practice racism yourself.
I know what it's like to be racially discriminated against, (though as far as I've seen, non racist people far outnumber racist people), and it's not fun, obviously. It's also embarrassing to confront people who're being racist towards you, even though I've done it a few times and it was so fun lol. So non racist people really should do as much as they can to quell racism, because it's not nearly as embarrassing to speak out when you're not the one being discriminated against. (I've done that too, and it's even more fun. The look of surprise on people's faces when they realize that someone they though would support them now thinks very lowly of them is priceless.)

If I made a fuss, it would make my job very difficult as I needed him to take me around, if I kept quiet I would seem to be sharing his views.

Were YOU being tested ?

If so, you failed.

Huh

Hard to believe people like this still exist
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Me neither. Trump is the president of the united states. That demonstrates clearly that we are a nation of bigoted assholes.
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.

I would've probably done the same thing you did, to be honest. Social psychology's an ass.

If he had been more aggressive saying stuff like "fuck black people, I hate their ass", or kept repeatedly saying he doesn't like being served by black people, then response would've been different.

What if it turns out a prostitute of color has urinated in his mouth ?

Not really.

That is sad. I guess I just didn't grow up around stuff like this.
