Which is grammatically more right - "red new car" or "new red car"
January 22, 2018 at 10:34 am
This has been bugging me for some time.
For me the answer is "new red car" but apparently it is "red new car".
Can someone help? There should also be a proper justification with the answer for as to why it is the "more" correct one because it both looks, at least to me, equally right.

I read somewhere that when constructing a sentence, there is a logical order that descriptors have to be listed in, in order for the sentence to be grammatically correct. When I get home later, I'll try to find it.

The car will still be red when it's not new.

Grammar was never my strong suit. But “grammatically more right” doesn’t sound correct.

Pretty sure it's "new red car". Why? I think it may have something to do with the fact that "redness" is more "ingrained" in the car than its "newness". Thus "red" should be closer to "car" than "new".
Edit: Oh, so I was wrong? What??? Pool, source?

In my case it's second hand red car.
