Incorrect. Objective, empirical truth is easy enough to recognize and distinguish from the abhorrent misrepresentation of subjective religious interpretation concocted purely from the imaginative mind merely to affect control over others.

All religions may be tested by the scriptures.
God sends a delusion to those who hate the truth.
It has nothing to do with contradicting the truth which happens to be absent in them. It is the very thing they craved. If not, they wouldn't buy it.
The last statement refers to the end of time, and may have been abused by religious institutions to excuse their corrupt deeds.

The simplest test is "if they speak not according to the law and the prophets, there is no light in them."
The law is simple, there are ten points of obedience to God.
Contravening any of these will show whether you are an angel of God or not.
