I've looked at his books. They are what convinced me that some religious people will accept *any* argument, no matter how poor, if it reaches the conclusions they like.

Not only is McDowell an idiot, he has absolutely no logical reasoning ability and tends to ignore alternatives that don't agree with his desired conclusions.

I've read McDowell. The only value to be had from studying and teaching his books is to help others understand logical fallacies, dishonest rhetoric, and laughably bad "scholarship". Since those are things you seem incapable of spotting, it comes as no surprise to me that you are impressed by him.
