Is this woman nuts?

RE: Is this woman nuts?
Not at all.  Christians don't have a monopoly on the vested power of magical or sacred objects...they don't even have a lock on the cross market.  Like everything else christain..that was borrowed. The crucifixion of christ either knowingly or unwittingly plays on pagan themes. The romans didn;t just crucify people for practical purposes..there was a ritual significance to that particular punishment which predated jesusism or it's use in political intimidation.

Being a christain is to believe in christ, not in crosses. Conveniently, this is why charges of idolatry or paganism are bandied about between sects as regards crucifixes and magic books in the first place. Whereas some lay the charge that elevating magic book to be the effective object of worship is the bad thing™, others criticize the entirely similar elevation of trinkets, relics, and torture fetish bric a brac.

Truth be told, they're all a bunch of heathens Brewer. None of the accessories, however, are requirements of or what it means to be christain.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I mean...?  Just go check her bio.  She's a wiccan. There's a difference..you can ask the christians or the wiccans...you'll find a rare moment of agreement on an issue.

Sure, all religions co-mingle.  It's called syncretism.  People have culture and they bring that culture into whatever faith they have or adopt.  Sometimes, part of that culture is ritual behavior or veneration of sacred objects, even pre-existing faith traditions.

One of the differences between christianity and wicca...is that christians insist that people shouldn;t do this, and refuse to acknowledge that christianity is a product -of- this..whereas wiccans are empowered to mix and match whatever they like.  Pomp is power. A wiccan doesn't even have to believe in the object, they need only harness whatever belief others have or whatever it can be utilized as a focal point for.

It makes just as much sense to call christians diluted pagans (and ofc they're all deluded, Wink ). I'm not saying that ether group isn't..only pointing out that they still aren't the same group...and that assigning primacy to christianity in the case of crosses or magic books is arbitrary and factually inaccurate.

Have we entered the territory of alternative facts, lol?  Wiccans aren't christians, and christians aren't wiccans.  This isn't difficult.
