I thinks it's crazy just how much she believes in the power of things. Guess she's not the only one.

At least 20% of Americans have a mental illness or personality disorder, and that's only the ones getting some medical treatment, the figure could be a s high as 40 %.

Her attitude is a good sample of millions who are affected by religious activities.
People who are imbalanced often find themselves in a religious social situation, probably becuse there are others like them and they get a certain level of acceptance. But the church leaderships generally keep the people in the dark about the truth and the Bible, and the people are fed errors which they spread as they go.

The USA is filled with mental religions claiming Christianity, so it would not be surprising to see a correlation between mental illness and church associations.

The opening of the flood gates to crime can be traced back to the religious institutions - with secret human atrocities, the miscarriage of justice in the courts of law, and false teaching, such as the abrogation of the law of God as taught by so called Protestants.

It is quite common for mental patients to suffer from guilt and a confusing self identity from false and misguided religious ideas.

Atheism often gives these people a fresh start to life, with a different outlook based on dealing with everyday life, without the control of idealogies or social groups.

Not at all..she does this for a living.  Taking money from people who want to throw it at you is entirely lucid behavior.  Something that always amuses me about stuff like this, though-

In context...you'd have to wonder about a persons sanity if they believed they needed protection from the evil eye and that they could effect it...but they -didn't- seek it out or attempt it.

She's wiccan.  Wiccans don't generally have a favorable view of christianity..though some of them do believe in jesus.

I have never met a Wiccan who believes in Jesus and I know quite a few of them. The other half happens to be one.

I'm not saying you're wrong - I've just personally never met one who does.

What makes a person christian is belief in christ.  Not belief in magic books or talismans, or jesus.., or even demi-gods...for that matter.  It's a job title, not a last name.

Hans Christian Anderson...

You're right.

Mr. Christian!

Ooops, wrong.

They're comparatively rare, at least as to wiccans who believe what most atheists believe about jesus.  Some random holy man.  The wiccan in question has a thing for santeria though..so it's not surprising. Santeria incorporates elements of catholicism..like making the sign of the cross as a ritual motion to ward off mal ojo.

I asked my other half, he said he follows more of a Native American path. He also says there's so many different ways to follow Wiccan.

And..... correct me if I'm wrong - but are you saying you're jealous of him being a Wiccan? I'm not following you here.

Jealous of you having a neo-pagan other half, lol. As far as all the ways, yeah. It's kind of like hinduism in that regard...when you think about it, in that it almost doesn't make sense to call it a singular religion.
