So, I understand what you're saying. It's important to narrow down what the statistics mean in terms of murder. However, I don't see much of a difference between a murder and an accidental shooting if the same laws could prevent both. Again, I'm not anti-gun, but I could be persuaded to be if I thought we couldn't come up with good legislation to prevent the same number of deaths. Sure, you could remove the handful of suicides that could reasonably have been called euthanasia from the stats, but you'd still have a wild number of deaths from guns. I'm not sure distinctions mean much at that point. That being said, I can see why you believe acting like every gun death had a madman behind it is dishonest.

Yeah, I think if you read what he was responding to, it makes more sense. I double-taked on that too the first time around.
Did the Washington sniper really do any mass shootings? Wasn't all of the victims single shootings?

Precisely.
Why would you use a pistol as a spoon? But you can use a spoon as a deadly weapon.
It's good to see the people marching. After having solved the issues of women, racism, and science with very successful marches, we'll be able to cross guns off the list real soon.

I hope your right, the gun issue needs to come to an end once and for all. I see five key issues at hand here. Getting rid of Trump, deflating the military budget, gun-control, getting out of the middle east and protecting the internet from censorship. If we can focus on these five issues and put a dent in them, it will be a good start.

I mean, that's kind of a meaningless distinction in terms of criminality, not to mention the fact that gang shootings are predominately white and Latino. I do concede that most mass shootings are perpetrated by white men, but there aren't literally no mass shootings by black men.

Bluff or not, I've always thought that 'cold, dead hands' thing very peculiar. The message is "I have a constitutional right to be a law-abiding, responsible gun owner; and to defend that right, I am prepared to break the law in the most irresponsible way possible".
It's a scary thing to think about. Gun nut is a phrase for a reason. I just find it odd when people who proclaim to care about mass shootings want to provoke the most well armed part of our society. It sort of shows that they don't really care about the victims at all.

Then you guys don't care about mass shootings or the victims, cause that would cause an insane amount of them.

I think we are overreacting , most people won't be able to kill someone.
