It's not as if the bible considered children to be of any great value, unless they're girls that can make babies for the invading army, so I don't know why christians are so hung up on this topic. Multiple stories of children being killed for the wrongs of their parents, male children being killed by invading armies, a group of children being killed for insulting a prophet. Their god doesn't care about children. Only adult men, and even that is sketchy.
