It's about that someone stands up to China and the other countries that have been taking advantage of our stupidity. What a bunch of crybabies you are! Look at the trade imbalance. Notice that China has never been the one to complain about it. We're not going to bring about fair trade practices from China unless we confront them over it. This will get their attention.
Do you have anything specific in mind? Some unfair trade practice we do nothing about?

"Have been" seems to be the operative part of that phrase. Internal and external pressures appear to have changed the reality even if perception on this side of the pond is lagging behind.

Wait until the orange turd's followers find out that his fucking tariffs are going to cost them. Some of them are less stupid than the rest.
