Skeptics might be jumping to conclusions

And when it comes to talking to morons, I'd rather not. Don't you have a ban hammer you need to catch?

Then you are an idiot putting yourself and others at risk. The evidence in favor of vaccines is over-fucking-whelming and the "evidence" that they're harmful is thoroughly debunked.

I know absolutely nothing about life or any given subject. Therefore, I just go with my gut instincts when making certain decisions in my life.  I cannot decide what is true and what is not, but I can still decide to make certain choices.  Also, I cannot understand some of the things these researchers say in the debates.  So, that is another reason why I can't decide what is true.  Lastly, anybody who comes up with an argument telling me that vaccines are harmless and that all the claimed evidence out there to support vaccines being harmful has been debunked, I cannot trust these people.  I cannot trust anybody who makes any given argument since I just don't know who is telling the truth.

The people who make arguments aren't trying to be trusted. They are making claims which they validate by logic. Their logic could be faulty, and if it is-- disagree on that account. If their logic is fine, perhaps one of their assumptions is untrue-- again-- disagree on that account.

Don't disagree with someone simply because they make an argument. Your gut might be wrong.

Now, many people have deemed my posts as incoherent. It seems to me that I'm the opposite of Spok from Star Trek. Spok is intelligent, rational, coherent, not interested in hedonism, has control over emotions, mature, and lives by values founded upon intellect, character, and morality. But I am ignorant, irrational, incoherent, very hedonistic (so much so that it is a religion), wild and uncontrolled, very emotional, immature, and I live by values founded upon emotion. Is this really someone to be recruited on the enterprise? I don't think so!

I am the opposite of Spok and I don't think living my life like him is going to work out for me. I just wasn't meant for it and am no good at it. Some people just weren't meant for certain things. For example, my mother was never meant for playing video games since she has no interest in them and she is no good them. As a result, she just gives up on them. I find the lifestyle of Spok to be very dull and unattractive. If I struggled with depression or an absence of my positive emotions, then that would be no way of life from my perspective regardless of how I think or what I do with my life.

What a useless dichotomy.  My most meaningful emotional attachment and satisfaction is attended by a mound of rational observations and justifications.  One without the other would be frantic, confused, self contradictory, and self destructively unhealthy.

Maybe you're just a broken nutter with mommy issues? It's a possibility, I've claimed it, so it's debatable. Published right here on the venerable journal af.org. It might be true....you'll never know.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Most accurate thing you've ever said!

Except you spelled "Spock" wrong Tongue

Was she making a dichotomy though?

Seemed to me that she was saying she was the opposite of Spock. Most accurate thing she's ever said!

I have strong elements of both sides. I guess I'm like Spock if he wanted to act all emotional so he could get people on his side more easily. Spock if he was a manipulative as hell, lol.

Of course, it's all unitnentional manipulation. What most people would call "socialization". It's not like I'm actually manipulative. But the way I am on the outside and on the inside are completely different.

I'm a strong hedonist and consider emotions to be the most important things in the known or unknown, possible or actual universe, both in principle and in practice.

But I also don't think they're 'real' in some sense, although they are in another, and they do exist. In a way, conscious states are the most real thing of all.

That said, I arrive at all this from a position of logic. And I don't understand how people do the cognitive empathy thing. Seems to me that they're just making shit up Tongue Although maybe part of my lack of cognitive empathy is my disbelief that anyone else has it either, they just think they do Tongue

Besides laziness or disinterest. I'm guilty of that one a lot lol.

For example, my geography is embarrassingly bad. But it's because I don't give a shit about geography so I'm not interested in learning it lol. I've never been abroad either.

The difference is... I don't pretend to know where all the countries are. And that's kind of analogous with what TD is doing: She's like a person with geography as crap as mine but instead of saying "I'm crap at geography" she pretends to know where all the countries are.

All I'm reading from TD is "I'm a lazy twit."

Not everyone knows everything about everything. But knowing nothing about most things is a sign of someone either unwilling or incapable of becoming an actual person. A weak-willed adult-child who demands that the rest of us do the thinking for them. An actual social parasite.

So, TD, is that the kind of entity you want to be? A parasite leeching off of the thoughts and sympathies of others, just begging to be exploited by those not so kind because you can't be bothered to know your own ass from a hole in the ground? It's your choice, but don't whine when the people around you - even anonymous strangers on an internet forum - have had enough of the bullshit.
