OH IDK, Rik. I like dogs too..doesn't mean I won't eat them. If anything..something being delicious only makes me like that something even more.

Any animal like forms in heaven are the equivalent of 'set dressing'. They would be there to illustrate heavenly missives, if they are there. For instance, there might be tableaus of lions and lambs, an obvious Scriptural reference. There might be a 'great fish' invoking Jonah, of course, but these animal forms would not be animals that had lived upon the earth.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

To believe that we pop up as humans without first being insects is like to believe that we can get a degree without first go through primary, high school, uni and so on. No wonder intellectuals are mentally bankrupt.

The snake is kinda out of place, but the rest of them do have much less sentience, awareness, and emotion than non insect animals, so maybe it's different with them.
