Damn. I asked at least two, maybe three questions. Sucks I don't make the list Sad

And, I mean, Kit's question has basically already been addressed on the thread.

EDIT: Wow Jor got two, I got none and Kit got one that has already been answered lol. I asked at least two, maybe three questions. I put them in bold saying a question for the thread too.

A person of Jewish ancestry that does not believe that God exists.

So there can be atheist Christians and atheist Muslims as well?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

There can be cultural versions of all three... I think he's talking about the fact that being Jewish can be both a race and a religion.

@CL

No, Jews are an ethnic group/nationality... or a "race" if you believe human beings can be distinguished according to such a category (which I don't).

Christians and Muslims don't come from a specific ethnicity and so, no, you can't be a Christian or Muslim atheist because the only parameter which makes you Christian or Muslim is belief.

@VL

Well yes strictly speaking races per se do not exist in any sort of clear or distinct way but you know what I meant. If I'm given a form when signing up for a job and it has a box to tick regarding my ethnicity but it refers to it as my "race" I'm not going to avoid ticking the "White/British" option out of mere stubborn pedantry.

I thought my questions for the thread were rather good. Pity that absolutely none of them made the list.

Sorry, Hams. I didn't intentionally exclude your questions or anything. I was half going by most kudos and half going by questions I thought the individual participants of the debate might disagree (hence making the debate more substantive than had I picked questions we would get five of the same answer for).

About halfway into the question submission thread, heavy discussion began, so if your question was buried in all that I might have scrolled past it.

RE: VOTE HERE: Final four questions for the Christian Debate
Oh okay. Sucks though because I had like 3 questions and you missed them all and I don't find any of these questions interesting enough to vote for. I'm a little curious about the Muslim one but I feel like I know what sort of answers we're going to get from it. Nothing particularly interesting basically.

I mean, Jor's one about the children getting a free pass was an interesting question but I feel like the answer to that one is going to be boring as well. It will be something about it just being on a case by case basis and only God knows how truly mature someone is and what's in their heart, blah, blah, blah.

And Kit's question has already been answered on the thread. CL said she would be able to change her mind if somehow God was disproven and Neo said that he thinks fundamental presuppositions are ultimately 'chosen'. So I guess the worst part is that Question 6 has already been asked in a different form and answered.

RE: VOTE HERE: Final four questions for the Christian Debate
The Christians think their religion is the true religion which is why they are Christians... and they wanted to have a debate on what their role is on AF... and Judaism and Islam isn't relevant to that. I think that's the answer to question 1.

Damn, I think my questions would have given some really diverse responses and started off a lot of fun commentary on the commentary thread. Boo.
