What did faith mean in the past?

I think it’s interesting how Christianity l, Islam, and Judaism all stem from the same God but have key differences. Almost they branch off into their own things. I’m most familiar with Christianity and Judaism as they are fairly similar except for Christians believe that Jesus is messiah whereas Jews believe their messiah hasn’t come yet. Followers of Islam or sons of ABRAHAM just like the Jews. It’s all so confusing but I’ve heard people make a lot of sense of it and try to convince me Christianity is right. I just don’t understand what Islam believes and why they think Israel is their land. Can someone clear this up if they know?

Well we could have faith that there are unicorns but that is pointless. Faith is pointless. Does the sun require faith for it to exist? Also, a god cannot call for faith. You have to exist to call for something.

Yeah believing in something doesn’t make it true but believing in somethjng that is true is a wise decision. Not saying it is true but everything has to of come from somewhere so why not a God that claims he did it all?

Yeah probably should be shared. I'm atheist so could care less about the israel/palestine conflict (although it probably is about more that just religion)

Like I said, god cant claim anything, you have to exist to claim something. PEOPLE claiming something then attaching an imaginary god to it, is what is actually happening.

So as an atheist what do u believe? I used to lean towards that ideology but found that I couldn’t except the belief there isn’t a god with the stars and the vastness of the universe?

I also found that the scriptures in the Bible contain prophecy about Jesus that he fulfilled like what tribe he would be from, defendant of David, born in Bethlehem, how he would die, and I know it’s controversial but that he would raise the 3rd day.

I mean if the vastness of the universe and stars bothered me then a god would bother me more. I know for a fact the universe exists. So I dont need to believe anything. Me believing in things without any logic or evidence would bother me much much more than the universe. And then on top of that, the thing I'm supposed to believe in is even more complicated than the universe.

Yeah, atheism isn't an ideology.

"God did it" isn't an explanation either; without explaining what God is, how he did things, and demonstrating it's anything more than a story, it's just another way of saying "I don't know".
