It doesn't bother you that he's factually wrong, does it? Never known the truth to stand in your way. RE: Atheists are emotionally stronger than theists

Nah, he is right. Atheists in most societies were just intellectual rebels, they weren't tortured or killed or anything. When God sends a Messenger, people rallying on them, they got it real bad, because the people are jealous and hate God's light in his chosen one, they call him a sorcerer - a deceiver - despite the power he displays that verifies he is God's Name and power on earth, that is with us all, empowering us all. Their followers get the brunt end of pain from the ignorant ones who can't stand the idea of God's chosen trustee as a means to God and hence become allergic the reality of goodness and God's proof on earth. Quote:Prior to the development of modern conceptions of religious liberty, atheists had no effective legal protection. The legitimacy of pre-modern governments rested on claims of divine right, which were directly threatened by atheistic beliefs that denied the existence of the divinity. Because of the political threat posed by atheists, pre-modern governments denied any protection to atheists, and indeed targeted atheists for the most serious kinds of legal persecution. Philosophical support for this persecution is abundant in early Western philosophy. Western philosophers as diverse as Plato and Thomas Aquinas argued that atheism is inherently dangerous to the social and political culture and therefore should be punished as a crime against society. They argued that atheists should be excluded from the political culture, forcibly reeducated, and in some cases put to death. The notion that the disbelief in God disqualifies the atheist from political participation or legal protection was common even among early humanists. Thomas More, for example, described a utopia in which religious tolerance would extend to all residents except those who did not believe in God or the immortality of the soul. Quote:In the Reformation and Counter-Reformation eras, Europe was a "persecuting society," which did not tolerate religious minorities or atheism. ... States were concerned with maintaining religious uniformity for two reasons: first, they believed that their chosen confession was the way to God and other religions were heretical, and second, religious unity was necessary for social and political stability. Quote:Survey data collected in 2014 shows that, compared to data collected in 2003, Americans have sharpened their negative views of atheists, despite an increase in people identifying as non-religious and an increase in public discussion of non-belief. Quote:13 Muslim countries officially punish atheism or apostasy by death, while "the overwhelming majority" of the 192 United Nation member countries "at best discriminate against citizens who have no belief in a god and at worst can jail them for offences dubbed blasphemy". Quote:Egyptian atheist Sherif Gaber was arrested in 2013 for starting a Facebook group that included posts about his own deconversion out of Islam and support of LGBTQ rights.
Poor misunderstood atheists.
<insert profound quote here>
Not liberal atheists, they're softer than snowflakes.
