Wouldn't they just love to heavily revise the bible in an attempt to remain relevant and connect with the newer generations.
But by doing so, they have to admit that the bible is not the unchanging perfect word of God.

Indeed! Some Christians seem to want to jettison virtually the whole OT for a start, which is the majority of the Bible. It's become increasingly embarrassing for several reasons.

Yep, but serpent wasn't mentioned it was serpents, big difference especially since this one was most likely one of a kind

Oh of course you're right. That makes it so much more plausible all of a sudden. It was only one talking serpent rather than many of them. Much like there was only one talking donkey. But no doubt you'll say that it was because it was given the power of speech by a god so it's an exception. That makes it so much more plausible, especially when you have to consider what would be required to make that happen.

</sarcasm>

It's still all fairy tales that you believe genuinely happened. You really have no idea how the world works.

Hint: Magic doesn't exist.

This is why it amazes me that Catholics just accept the pope making up new rules as he goes along.

Maybe Catholics believe that the pope has a bat phone to God?
CL, takes a wide berth by saying she doesn't follow the bible but the RCC. Nice dodge!

Talk about plausible deniability! lol.

Nope... maybe...Maybe this is one of the reasons .. Anyway, Jews also have their Talmud besides the Bible ... and Talmud these are Jewish books, written by various Rabbis in the first centuries after Christ. The first book is called the Mishnah and is an explanation of the Mosaic law contained in the Bible ("the first major written collection of the Jewish oral traditions known as the Oral Torah.")... and for them the Talmud is more important than Bible so they still follow the Mosaic law..

I didn't say anything about Jews following all of the bible, I asked if you said that "Jews where still following Mosaic Law and that's why they are still here". Your response was "Nope" and then you ended with "they still follow Mosaic Law".

Religious people enjoy taking it upon faith alone that religious leaders have direct communication with the divine. The gullibility is real.

I said -' Nope...maybe '
"Alone is what I have. Alone protects me."
“I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second that I am one of them.”
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."

The Talmud is 100% garbage.  Have you read it?

Guys, I think the bible might have been telling the truth!
Science has discovered a "Talking Serpent". See below Exhibit A:
