Most of us aren't old enough, but anyone born 2002 and before will be eligible in 2020. I do have hope, it seems like the majority is done living in a fucked up country that we are not even responsible for fucking up and wants change. But yeah, we won't know until then.

I truly hope 10 years from now I can say, with conviction, that they are a minority. And I feel it's possible. I've noticed a current of dissatisfaction that has been steadily growing these past few years. People my age, we're not ok. We're all a little depressed, we're all a little messed up, but except for those of us who've grown up in ultra right households, we're all clear on one thing: what's going on today is not ok. And the level of organization you saw during March For Our Lives, that wasn't a fluke. 
Damn I sound like some dramatic Hunger Games wannabe but I'm just being honest I swear.

They are a minority now. But through political schemin and a willingness to treat politics like war and opposition like irreconcilable enemies, rather than as a inclusive collaborative exercise with others whose narrow interests do not coincide with your own in order to further greater collective good, they control all branches of the government.

Part of the hole we dug for ourselves came from not paying enough attention to the interests of foreign powers, but instead let petty domestic political posturing dictate our foreign policy.

We’ve always been foolish that way, and we’ve just massively redoubled our efforts towards becoming even more foolish in this way, and we are doing this precisely at the time when foreign powers have crossed over our trajectory in relative power, and have gained more power to fuck us up domestically, both politically and economically, than anytime since perhaps the 1880s.
