Some douchebag bitched about what Ariana Grande wore at McCain's funeral. Not the point of this thread though. The point is and atheists run into jerks like this on any given topic, not just the way females dress.

The bastard simply got pissed when I called him out saying he had no say because he is not her. Just like my older brother once got mad and yelled at me because he didn't like the fact I was drinking beer, and because "God" saved him, he had licence to tell me how to live my life.

It is the same with food Nazis too. "You like your steak well done? YOU DESERVE THE DEATH PENALTY".

Here is the point of all this regardless of what the theist gets pissed about. 


How many times have the atheists here called a theist out, when they didn't know you were an atheist, threaten you with hell and you tell them you are an atheist?

Then they stupidly respond, "that explains it'? That is what this douchebag did. 

He shouted in caps when I wouldn't let him get away with his religious based sexism, told him if he wanted to control women to move to Saudi Arabia or Iran. So he responded with "BURN IN HELL"

I said, " I am an atheist, that is like threatening me with Darth Vader'.

Then he said, "That explains it".

So I came back with, "Yea, "evil atheist" been there heard that.

I can hand the statement "That's not my thing, but if she wants to, fine". But regardless of label, anywhere in the world, be it clothing or food based on religion, saying you do things a certain way is not a licence to demand everyone do it like you do. That is like demanding someone not eat pizza because you are on a diet.

That's pretty funny though. I like my steak well done and if someone told me this I would know they aren't serious.

FWIW, I also thought her dress was inappropriate for a funeral service.  Had it been me, I would have worn a floor-length gown in black jersey silk, maybe with a simple strand of pearls. Black taffeta and a silver choker is simply tres gauche.

Um no, I don't mind jokes. But there are petty people who do look down on you if you don't have the right "taste buds".

I just told the same story about an Italian Bistro in another thread once again. I can tell when someone is teasing me and when someone is dead serious in person face to face. The asshole who owned the joint scoffed and gave me dirty looks multiple times for asking for no mushrooms on my steak, wanting it well done, and especially when I asked for Heinz 51. He wasn't joking. He was being petty looking down on me because I was not eating it the way he wanted to prepare it. 

No, that was not like another time when I took my redneck friend out to another place, more casual and he ordered a steak and likes butter on it. He really piled it on, so much so I joked " Would you like a little steak with your butter."? We both laughed, and had even joked on line about it he knowing I didn't like butter on my steak. But he knew I was joking. I never met the snooty asshole who owned the bistro before the only time I went there. 

The bistro owner WAS NOT joking. He was being a dick for petty reasons.
