Seven states bar people with a criminal record from receiving victim's compensation

RE: Seven states bar people with a criminal record from receiving victim's compensation
Fun fact, the affected criminals can't even seek redress through representation....because they don't get to vote, lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Punishment for committing a crime (which I agree with) should be kept separate from compensation or protection for being a victim.

I'm a firm believer that once you have served your sentence, you get your rights back and should for the most part be treated the same as any other member of society.

There are of course exceptions when dealing with the most heinous of crimes, for example I am fine with sex offender registries. However I don't agree with denying them basic rights and access to relevant compensation. A criminal can be a victim of crime.

Looks like you can commit white collar felonies and still get compensation.

"Criminal history record check will be performed through the Florida Crime Information Center for all victims and claimants. Persons who have been adjudicated as an habitual felony offender, habitual violent offender, or violent career criminals, and persons who have been adjudicated guilty of a forcible felony offense are not eligible to receive benefits."

They only punish the really naughty.

Exactly, because white people are more likely to commit white collar crimes.

I really hate this fucking country.

Rhode Island's not that great. It should be better, but it's not. It's just in proximity to better states.

Florida managed to disenfranchise enough minority voters to swing every election.  Working as intended.

10,000 dollars for a funeral? I need to get into that bussiness.

Just bury me in the backyard.

Have you lived in another country? You really can't know without a comparison.

Living in another country has nothing to do with my opinion about the country I currently live in. I hate Russia too but I've. Never lived there either.
You don't get to assume anything about why I hate living here.

It actually does. You really can't know whether or not you even like the country you are in unless you have also lived elsewhere. Otherwise the problems you have might just be your own problems that people extrapolate to their country. It's amazing how common it is.

And I do get to assume, you made a thread about it. That's how this works. If I make a false assumption it's up to you to correct it, not just say "you aren't allowed to assume anything" to just try to avoid a conversation.
