Listen to a good thirty episodes of that and you realize how fragile memory is and how many people have been falsely sent to prison because someone said they were 100% sure it was that person they saw.
So it's nice to say "believe women" but I'll stick to the Atheist mantra of "believe evidence"
OMG, that is a completely different subject.
People can and do get accused of crimes they didn't commit. Trump vilified these guys, "The Central Park Five", whom all turned out to be innocent. Notice the pattern? Like Mexicans and arabs, he loves vilifying innocent minorities.
None of what you typed has to do with the STATS that false accusations of assault and or rape ARE EXTREMELY RARE! Just like we cannot physically see the center of a black hole, there are formulas and physics that give us a damned good idea what goes on. Ford isn't the only one accusing him, and he fucking lied about his alcohol use. And again, this oversimplification is an INSULT to my mother, whom also could not remember all the details of her rape.
Nope sorry, what we are seeing coming from the right is glaringly obvious. They care nothing about minorities or women and they are stuck in the old white boy's club born out of religious fear and religious nationalism.

Most people have some amount of empathy. Being around others who discourage empathic thinking can reduce our own. Being treated so poorly we can only think of ourselves as a protective measure is another way people lose some of their empathy.
I don't have much empathy for armchair psychologists, that's for sure.

Thanks for telling me that stats exist but not providing me with any. The caps locks and explanation points made up for it though.

A victim of sexual assault doesn't need to know that people support her? What kind of a monster are you?
Boru
The spineless, emotionless, non-empathetic, non-caring kind who lacks any decency, sort of monster?

Hey dumbass, she earned her degrees in psychology. I posted as much in another thread that you blatantly ignored.
Go fuck yourself.

So what exactly of Aroura's post do you disagree with?
You just seem to be dismissing it so you don't have to consider it.
As I said. Brushing it under the carpet because you have no empathy.

Calling my psychology armchair is fair enough. It is. I have no degree.
I'm allowed an opinion, however, based on the evidence I have.
Lots of people on this forum, most in fact, regularly demonstrate noticeable empathy towards others. It's not like we as human beings can't tell when someone is being kind or when someone is being a selfish asshole. That doesn't really take a degree.
Or maybe it does, IDK. I mean, a lot of people seem to mistake Trumps monstrous behavior for some sort of down to earth honesty. I used to have a very positive outlook about people in general. My family jokingly called me Pollyanna, lol. I'm serious! Wow, has that changed.

The parts where she plays armchair psychologist. I was referring to you as well.

Again, you don't have the information to make that call. It's just a milder form of the left's practice of dehumanizing opponents.

I'm confused, did I ever claim to have degrees in psychology? Maybe someone is confusing me with someone else.
I have an associates degree in computer science. My husband did minor psychology, though, so I have heard quite a lot about it the last 6 years, and have learned a lot that way. Still, I am in no way claiming to be an expert. I do try and research what I claim, though.

Er, the term armchair psychologist generally refers to someone who doesn't have degrees in psychology, so not sure what your point is.
