Quote:On Dec. 27 polygraph testing, one of the means retailers in the state have used to determine the honesty of employees, was banned under the Employee Polygraph Protection Act of 1988.

Last year, polygraphs, or lie detector tests, were administered to about two million people in the private sector. The new Federal law generally bans random lie-detector tests administered for retail, banking and private corporations. Not included are those given by Federal, state and local governments; other exceptions apply to companies in the security field or ones dealing with controlled substances. The American Civil Liberties Union has estimated that about 80 percent of the testing will be banned under the law, which it called ''a holiday gift to working people.''

No one else can tell you how you feel or what you think. If any religious person tries to sell you a bridge that isn't there, you tell them to go pound sand.

I hate the word scripture. As if calling it scripture gives it some sort of believability. Fuck scripture.

King's Cross station exists.

Therefore Harry Potter is true.

This is the level of reasoning exhibited by bible bashers.

Looks like I missed the part about "honesty"! I worked in defense, so the tests got administered to us anyway.
