Dead Horse  Pathetic fucking whiner. Tut Tut  I wasn't one of the people who pointed out your whining (until now). I'm retired with enough to live on from, as you describe it, working 40+ hours a week. Middle Finer Have a nice life, incel.

I just read this thread for the first time and was in agreeance with everything you said, CTF, up until it got nasty, but that wasn't only you.
I do get the feeling that you've probably burnt many bridges along the way and that's your choice, but this forum might not have sucked so bad for you if your social etiquette was a little stronger.
How about naming a forum that doesn't suck for you.

This is a weird thread. I don’t understand why it got so hostile. There’s nothing wrong with wanting and choosing to work less. Everyone has to choose their own path. Some people choose to work the absolute most that they can and earn as much money as they can. Some people choose to do the bare minimum to survive while having a lot of free time. Most people are somewhere in between. Working more hours doesn’t make you better. Choosing to work less in favor of having more free time doesn’t make you lazy or whiny.

Sorry if I am to blame for making this thread "hostile." My hostilities toward Carve the Five were rooted in some insensitive comments he made in other threads. I thought (since he was dismissive of others' difficulties, it would be fair to come at him with the same kind of dismissiveness.

Whether you think I was right or wrong to say what I said, please know that what I said was a response to what CarvetheFive said elsewhere. Just go to his profile and click on his posts in other threads to see what I mean.

I figured I was missing some context. Don’t be sorry to me. I don’t care if you two are rude to each other, I just found it odd.

Jesus H Christ trust the Good People of AF to start fighting on a literal thread about how long someone wants to work (in their unrelated real life, no less). Fucking pathetic, the childishness of some people. Not just on this thread, but on AF in general. And on AD too, apparently.
The word bed actually looks like a bed.

The only other thread I was perceived as rude on was the one where a middle age guy recently gave up religion for atheism and he said he was afraid of going to hell. It was my opinion that you’re not afraid of things you don’t believe in and his fear means he still believes hell. I was simply taking an honest look at his situation and not trying to roast the guy. I also stated that it was my opinion that trying to force his brain into atheism might not be worth the psychological duress. People got up in arms over that
