Thanks.
How about "the only reason I clicked this thread is because I saw it in 'today's posts?'"
I don't know if I can come up with something "clever," but here goes: you seem like a thoughtless punk whose ideas shouldn't be taken seriously. Fuck you, and fuck your difficulties at work. Who knows? Maybe you have troubles at work because you're an asshole. If I had to put my money on one spot as the roulette wheel spins, that would be it.

Fuck
See, this is why they call it 'work' as opposed to 'happy fluffy bunny play time'. If you aren't willing to work when the boss needs you to work, there's bound to come a time when the boss won't need you at all.

Remember, you're not required to work past your scheduled shift, and you are never required to do more than you alone can reasonably handle.
Bosses are not going to unreasonably punish you for reasonably saying no, and I have seen the yessers never advance because they're entirely too eager to please.

My father employed dozens of people every year (full time, part time and seasonal). He turned away more than he hired, as he was known in the area as a great guy to work for.
And his chief policy was, 'If you aren't willing to work Saturday, you needn't bother coming in on Monday.'

Administrator Notice Dropping a speed bump here folks. I’ve read through the opening page and I don’t like where it’s going so a gentle reminder to keep it civil. Or I’ll set Valkyrie loose on you all and, well, that never ends well.

At my work and as the boss, I know exactly the time needed to perform a task and plan my days and my coworkers accordingly. I might give more time to a newbie depending on the tasks complexity but that's all.
So yeah, if my coworkers won't finish the job in time, I will have to and if not, the administration will be all over my ass as to why the production wasn't achieved. So yeah, they can go home after their 8 hours. It does not bode well for the future tough.

If he hired part time did he let part time people work part time? Anyone who demands six days a week isn’t a good employer. I’d sure as fuck agree on the not coming back on Monday part if that were the case. I’m not giving my life for someone else’s business.

I hear you. I get the weekly and daily goals in the morning. I work hard as fuck and I’m totally focused until I’m finished. All I’ve heard is I’m the best at the position in years or ever. I just don’t allow surprise extra shit right at the end of my day. They can take it or leave it. Like I said, I’m keeping some time and energy for myself. I believe I’m better than the next man up and that they know that and that’s why I can set limits and still add value. If I get an official write up for refusing extra work I’ll re-evaluate but on paper my personnel file is spotless. I’m not looking to advance or earn a raise. I’ve told them directly that having what I consider a healthy work/life balance is more important to me. When management gets stacked with work they frown when I leave but the deal is they make more than me and they chose to take on more responsibility for more pay. I’d rather cut back on things like cable tv and going out to eat and even driving when it comes to it.

If you don't like to have extra shit on a friday? Fridays are prepared to leave advanced time to cleanup or an emergency.

Sounds like your boss has a manpower problem. He should hire someone to satisfy the workload. Anyone he fires will only increase the deficit between his labor requirements and his projected labor hours (and cost). Probably, at an increased rate of pay and decreased rate of quality and productivity. The smart manager only asks someone to do "a little extra" once or twice, while they light a fire under HRs ass.
Not that the world is full of competent managers, ofc.
