The fellow arrested on suspicion of these bombs had an arrest record for the same type of thing and a van with Trump/Pence stickers on it. Yep, they got me. It makes tons of sense that I'd want to hurt my own to gain sympathy. This crap is as fucked up as 9/11 inside job bullshit. I hate GOP economics, but why the fuck would I blame a fellow American which Bush Jr was for what 19 middle east hijackers did? I certainly hated the invasion of Iraq, but that is a separate issue. Outside the issue of religion and politics, there is a very real psychology to why people fall for conspiracy theories. This is the same psychology that gets gullible and fearful people to believe in alien abduction, crop circles, big foot, and Lock Ness and JFK conspiracies. There used to be a day decades ago when conspiracy tabloids which are NOT journalists, like the "Weekly World News" which had the famous "BAT BOY" cover, were seen as a joke and for "entertainment purposes only". But sick opportunists like Alex Jones, hid behind "free speech" but did not want to take responsibility for the fear and harm he sold the public. I also take this personally because I have had family fall for this sick conspiracy bullshit. I remember having a phone conversation with my older sister, where she swore Obama was going to use FEMA camps to insert chips into all of us, and was going to force government to make him president for life. That is not the same as when I say Trump's rhetoric is dangerous. That is what former GOP intel are saying too. That is what psychologists and psychiatrists are saying too. And it is also what history shows us too. Not just Germany, but our own history. The politics of political scapegoating and sell of fear are what caused Americans to fear women voting, kept blacks in separate bathrooms and at the back of the bus. That is also what caused us to imprison Japanese citizen with no record of crime, entire families with kids. My warning isn't one born out of conspiracy. I do not fear opposition, I do fear that abuse of power, if left unchecked, can hurt innocent people, and or worse topple our system if the rhetoric spreads. It is certainly harder in our system, but to say never is a mistake. The only way you keep checks on power is to pay attention, educate yourself on the issues and vote. ![]()
The NRA's function is to maximize profits for the death merchants. What you are suggesting would be bad for business.

Let me make this clear, I am not talking about those the leadership sucker into supporting them as far as members, but the marketing of the leadership. If it were still the org it started out as long ago, it would be one even not owning a firearm I would support. Back then they were a SAFETY org, not the profit lobby they became in the late 70s.
The obsession with turning any business into a cash cow caused the demise of the NRA you respected, Brian. They're making money over dead babies.

Which in large part, weren't so good.
Min, that was completely off the wall.
