The US have fifty states and various other possessions here and there around the globe. To be fair, you don't actually need all of them.  If you'd sell off some of that surplus real estate, you could use the money to solve your health insurance in one go.  Not only would you have bags of money to pay for health care, but you'd have less USians to insure.  Everybody wins.

The state medical like Canada or England is a far more economically effective system.

Obamacare is just corporate welfare for insurance companies.

I think you can only get so close to a universal health care system when most Americans skew conservative ideologically. It was a miracle the ACA was even passed. A system like Canada's is still too socialist for us to stomach. The left (the actual left, not conservative Dems) have only recently found their footing (barely).

I didn't think the ACA was best, but it was better than before. And its provisions are the reason I can afford necessary medications.

Obamacare was a horrible idea from the get go and hurt a lot of people in the process.  They just need to kill it indefinitely, and come to a bipartisan agreement on a plan that is more beneficial to those who need special coverage.

It is hilarious to me that you lot are arguing about "cheap" healthcare when the rest of the world get it for free.

If I'd had to pay for all the surgery my kids had or the cancer my mum had I would be broke.
