If the school work excuse isn't practical for you, your best bet might be to feign an illness. But be careful - don't make it something so trivial that they'll want to come take care of you, but it has to be serious enough that they'll stay away. So...leprosy.
But seriously, good on you for going the therapy route. Helped me a ton when I was younger. Best of luck.

Just go. Honesty is the best policy. I have struggled for years with Bipolar and Chronic Depression. You can just say you have a Dr. appointment. No need for details. Parents should always be there for their children, no matter what!

If I tell them I need to go to a Dr. appointment they would surely wanna know details. Not to mention that dad is hypochondriac and pretty stressed when it comes to me as well. I could lie that I have school work. Thank you for your answer either way and hope your doing good emotionally.
