In Greenland, a glacier is surprising scientists by growing instead of shrinking. Called Jakobshavn, it was one of the fastest-retreating ice and snow masses on Earth. In the past two years, however, it has been making a comeback. Scientists say the reversal is caused by unusually cold ocean currents and is likely only a temporary shift. Currently, glaciers in southern and eastern Greenland continue to shrink, while Jakobshavn and other glaciers in the west grow.

Instead of bitching about it, start working very hard on figuring out how to live without a car. Bitching is of zero value. Living without a car is one big step forward.

"Bitching" has the very real side effect of informing others.

No offense, but I don't think there's really an information problem right now.  There's a willful ignorance problem (mostly republican), and an unwillingness to take the necessary steps problem among those who aren't willfully ignorant (largely democrat).

Example-- if all the American fatties cut back on their food consumption, literally millions fewer animals would exist to fart out methane, and probably billions of vehicle miles (and the carbon to go with them).  So can we now start telling people to stop being overweight pigs for their grandchildren's environmental future?  Nah-- might hurt someone's feelings, and might get the Yanks muttering about how weighing 500 lbs is free speech.

The specific information which was ignored by Yonadav was that some people can't get by without their cars.  Just yesterday, my wife told me she could no longer ride her bike because of her neck problem, and she's only in her fifties.

To address your larger point, information about climate change has improved considerably, but there are still confusions because misinformation is still in circulation as well.

Over the last 2 years, I have lost over 100 lbs.  Have never felt better!
