An uncle of mine - Never act off of emotion.

Consider your emotions, allow yourself to feel them. But don't act off of them. Don't quit the job because you're angry at your boss. Don't punch the guy at the bar because he said something disrespectful to your girl. Basically, think first, then act. Simple advice. Nothing groundbreaking, but actually groundbreaking if you truly learn how to live by it. It's saved me a lot of headaches/problems.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

When using a toilet bowl / sink plunger, don't plunge up and down energetically. Simply push down slowly , the pull up quickly. It is usually this quick, single, upwards motion that clears the drain.
