Your point of living?

My point of living is currently Wellington, New Zealand.

These are my favourites: The Cory Panda.



But then I was fascinated watching the Gouramis. Different species in a community tank but all of them when passing would stroke each other from head to tail with their pelvic fins.



Then I discovered they do this with everything in the tank.
It was no less beautiful.

So there you go Milky Bar Kid. Just another one of a countless number of tiny delights that make up the whole.

Dear Atheists,

What's your point of living? You're all eventually going to die. When you die, there will be no afterlife. It's almost as if you never existed in the first place because you'll forget you'll ever existed, thus you'll forget about anything that made you happy in life and any good moments in life. You can "make the best of it" while you're "here on Earth" for these "rare 80 [only if you're lucky] years", but in the end it won't matter. Most people won't leave behind a legacy, and even if you left one behind, it won't last long. Even famous luminaries like Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley will be forgotten sooner than later. Your contributions to humanity won't matter either because humanity will end, and life on Earth will be wiped out by a meteor in a few centuries from now or even sooner. If that doesn't happen, humans will go extinct anyway by robots.

To educate lost poor trolls, erm souls like yourself.

I've read that Gouramis as intelligent as Bettas, actually. Makes sense, since they're in the same family.
It would appear that they're not quite as uh....high-strung and territorial, though.

I'm wondering if Dwarf Gouramis would really be compatible with my future Betta? I've read they are, but I don't feel too confident about it. 
IDK. Perhaps in a bigger tank, with plenty of plants to hide in. 

I'm considering going with neon Tetra, because they're small and are pretty much bottom swimmers. I think a few tiny low-key fish and a couple of snails are the most I'm willing to house with a Betta in a 10-gallon tank.

I’d be careful getting any sort of brightly colored fish and having it share a tank with a betta. I know it’s possible in big tanks but make sure you do lots of research!

I had to get a new tank for my betta since the last one was somewhat triangular and would somehow reflect his image in a way he could see it, and boy did that make him mad! xD

The Bettas I had were all pretty indifferent to the goings on of everything else in the tank, they would sit in the trees (plants) all day doing nothing.
The Cardinal Tetras are far prettier than the Neons. 

Snails? You had better make sure they are Adam & Steve not A&E or your tank will be overrun in no time.

The Cory is a catfish and yes they are well cute. They do something rather odd, at random one of the bunch will bolt to the surface and whiz straight back down again, no one knows why.

Snails are hermaphrodites, I think. If I get two freshwater snails, they'll have to be of different species to ensure my tank doesn't become Snail Central. The gravel dwellers are good for taking care of excess food particles, and of all of them love algae.
They'll help keep the tank clean, and Bettas and snails don't bother each other at all. They make great tank companions.

Btw, how big was/is your tank? It sounds pretty live.

You want to spend eternity praising the lord 24/7 365 days a year, when churches can't even get you to go to church ONE day a week, more power to you.

Me... I'm gonna enjoy 67ish years (my male family history life expectancy) of life and call it a life. God's minion, Satan, can use my corpse as a piñata until the heat death of the Universe if he wants, until then I'll welcome the rest.

So regardless of whether OP is a troll or genuinely curious, I've actually asked myself some of the same questions. Sometimes I just get into a nihilistic mood or bouts of depression and nothing feels worth it. But that was still true when I was a believer. Existential dread is existential dread whether I think I'm going to exist forever or that I'm going to stop existing when I die. But here's why I don't mind living:

- To see what happens
- For the moments here and there every day that I enjoy
- There are a few things I feel driven to accomplish before I die
- I have some nieces and nephews that seem to love and even like me so far, and I want to be around while they grow up.
I didn't ask to be alive, but now that I am there's more to gain by riding it out and enjoying myself than there is by checking out early.
