Vision and Evolution (A Critique of Dawkins)

Its not about obligation ma'am, its just basic human interaction skills. How often have you encountered this scenario, and not be even mildly suspicious of the intent:

Person 1: Hey, I just learned about topic X.
Person 2: Cool, what is it about?
Person 1: Go research it, or take a course at university, why are you asking me? I'm not responsible for your education, you're an adult.

Like most creationists description of events....you might have missed a step.

I would need a quarter of milion euros per year, independent of results in the exam to teach anyone that brings such blatant ignorance of the most basic biologic facts.

This place has never been a college or a university.

Oh and just 8 hours per day, weekdays. I call that a deal (that I am not sure it is good to accept).

And yet, I can email Steven Pinker right now and he'll probably respond within a week with a pretty concise and well-thought answer, and even give a reference or two (usually his own books of course lol). Educated people find it easy to tell others what they've learned, they dont complain as much as some members of this forum have. But I guess everyone is different.

Anything to add about the alleged subject of this thread, or have we reached the “complaining about mean dumb atheists” segment of the performance?

I don't categorize atheists as mean or dumb. And you shouldn't attribute your qualities the others on this forum.

Ironically, I'm always looking up textbook or emailing professors from courses I'm not required to take but want to learn about. So its right up my alley. Tell me the course and I'll look it up.

Professors from where?

What are your required to take?

Sounds like you're going for a degree, what degree?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Just a regular state university, and a degree in Cognitive Science.

Half an eye is better than no eye. Understand this, and the development of the eye (or any biological structure for that matter) through the means of natural selection makes sense.

Well, awesome, you have “half a degree” in cognitive science. You’ll come across model based control sooner or later.

-but in the moment, here and now...do you think that your half a degree could be advantageous?

Is it helpful to know things, even if you don’t know all the things?
