The Middle East has had a bad decade, or two, or three... or four... or... Or since....
Quote:As well as possessing many sites with the skeletal and cultural remains of both pre-modern and early modern humans (e.g., at Tabun and Es Skhul caves in Israel), later Pleistocene hunter-gatherers, and Epipalaeolithic semi-sedentary hunter-gatherers (the Natufians); the Fertile Crescent is most famous for its sites related to the origins of agriculture. The western zone around the Jordan and upper Euphrates rivers gave rise to the first known Neolithic farming settlements (referred to as Pre-Pottery Neolithic A (PPNA)), which date to around 9,000 BCE and includes very ancient sites such as Göbekli Tepe and Jericho (Tell es-Sultan).

Especially with the advent of mobile phones and social media we saw locals doing disasters and carry on barbaric killing sprees.
But we don't need American airstrikes to increase the body count.
So, maybe those silly terrorists, and all of the apologists who silently support them, should've thought about that before we decided to spank an entire region of the world for almost two decades straight.
Right or wrong, moral or not, America is the biggest, baddest bully on the block. Something you should seriously consider before you decide to pick a fight.
No it isn't; there is China and Russia; btw the Russian proxy in Syria eradicated the American supported militia.
You need to update your mind.

And I doubt either of them would want to go to war with us either.

I was in the shower, getting ready for work, listening to Mark and Brian on the radio. (LA market.) I'll never forget listening to Brian incredulously say "Is this a replay?" as he and Mark watched the second plane hit on their studio monitor. I went in to work anyway, to teach my public high school chemistry and physics students, knowing that the best thing to do under the circumstances was to carry on.
During "home room" previously, my students and I had intermittently said the Pledge of Allegiance as a necessary chore. That day was decidedly different. My normally bored and uninterested class all jumped to attention as one and belted out the Pledge like never before, loud and with as much emotion as I'd ever heard anything in my life. I barely held it together until the end, when I suddenly excused myself to the hall and completely broke down in tears. I got it together as quickly as I could, and returned to the classroom with red eyes and wet sleeves. I was not alone in that.
Today, I'm a 63 year-old retired teacher (and former engineer), with tears streaming down my face as I type this.

During that time period, I got an early morning call from my girlfriend every day. That day, she called a bit early and said that a plane had hit the first tower. The news at that point thought it might have been a small plane. I brushed it off as controller error. A few minutes later, she called again saying another plane hit.
I went over to her place (she had a TV and I didn't) and we watched the towers go down.
After that, I went to campus and taught a calculus class. Instead of calculus, though, we talked about Afghanistan, the Taliban, the likelihood of war, and the differences between the average Moslem and those that did those unspeakable acts. One of the students in the class was Muslim and wore a scarf. Sweet gal.

By October I was doing a job I had done while on active duty. For free this time. I got a tempest certified computer and a T-1 line to my house out of the deal.

Daddyofive was a YouTube channel that gained popularity a couple years back; they mostly did vlog-type videos and lots of stuff with the parents pranking the kids. Turns out, a lot of the pranks went way too far and bordered on abusive, and some of them were just flat out abusive. They actually got the police called on them and CPS got involved for a while.
Not sure where they are now, but here's a story about it from another YouTuber Philip DeFranco.
Watching the below video makes me want to take a bat to these two piles of garbage that call themselves parents.
One of the kids even says, "at least you don't beat us like most parents..." - WTF?
