Weird

How can such a simple entity create such a complex thing like the universe? Werent you one of those who alyways claimed that complexity is a hallmark of design? If god is so simple, i bet there is something more complex that created him. Something super-non-physical and super-slef-conscious, you know.  Read

All the major Christian theological traditions define God as absolutely simple, with no parts.

Explanations of how simplicity generates complexity vary. What's agreed on, though, is that the absolute end of the  chain of things that are necessary for other things to exist will be of complete simplicity.

In Neoplatonism, it's said that the One emanates the Many. In Buddhism, it's said that the Not-Two 不二 generates the Ten Thousand Things 万物.

I know you won't accept this, but this is the position of Christianity and several other theological traditions.

Really? Great!

Marvin the Amazing Pancake, Creator of the Universe and Lord of Everything, demands your obeisance! Kneel before Marvin or be condemned to The Griddle for Eternity!!!

No, I don't have to prove a word of that rubbish. That would be a "silly epistemological approach demonstrating the lack of understanding on the unbeliever's side."

It always amazes me how much these chumps use the very same burden of proof that they try and dodge.

God is a remarkably simple entity. As a non-physical entity, a mind is not composed of parts, and its salient properties, like self-consciousness, rationality, and volition, are essential to it. In contrast to the contingent and variegated universe with all its inexplicable quantities and constants, a divine mind is startlingly simple. Certainly such a mind may have complex ideas—it may be thinking, for example, of the infinitesimal calculus—, but the mind itself is a remarkably simple entity

Hey idiot, stop copy pasting from other wbsites. Also what you are essentially saying here is that god doesn't exist.

There is something that created god. The human brain.

Where is the scientifically verified evidence for any of that?
At this point you are just making stuff up so you can continue to believe in your silly belief.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

It's all made up, so there's no end to the denial of reality.

In their attempts to simplify 'god' the apologists have made god more complex, so complex in fact that they've defined it out of existence.

And why simplify god anyway? It's their very own all powerful god, they should be proud of the fucking thing.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Because the god was made up in prehistoric times and doesn't stand up well in the light of modern day. They seek to trim off some of the impossible "fat" and still keep the doddering fuck alive. Won't happen.

In that case where did this “eternal spirit” come into being?  What’s that?  It has always existed and is exempt from your claim number one?

How extraordinarily convenient.

Roger the Eternal Duck is also exempted.

Quack on!

That's literally the definition of eternal...

If energy cannot be created then it had to have always been in existence. We know also that energy can be converted into matter.

Interestingly enough the scripture states there was a source of energy at the beginning for it says that the very essence and being of God is light, and from this light matter was formed. When God finished creation, that was it, nothing else was created from nothing (for lack of a better term), even Adam and Eve were formed from Physical substance.

Is it just coincidence that biblical scripture in noway contradicts the law of thermodynamics?
