Anyone else have that "weird" friend?

She's not exactly a friend, more a coworker, she was a bisexual girl who liked going to titty bars and cooing over ducks. You knew what was hers because she had lots of toy ducks (or, as she'd say it, "duckys") all over them. Personality-wise, it was like she was a little girl with the sex drive of Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, having hit on most of the women in the scene shop (some of these interactions may have crossed the line into sexual harrassment). The rear window of her car was filled with rubber ducks, and I can still recall hearing one time when another coworker was telling a story where she drove up to her driveway, and her mother saw her dancing in her car, and asked her "Is that [NAME REDACTED]?" She replied, "Umm... no." The mother responded "Are you sure, because there's lots of ducks everywhere." And I think she was there, and she still giggled at the prospect that one of her friends admitted she denied knowing her to her mother.

To me, that was always the reddest of red flags:  women who obsess over one particular thing.  I once went to a girl's flat with her and there were cows literally everywhere.  Cow figurines, cow puppets, cow light switches, cow lampshades, cow slipcovers, even (I swear this is true) cow wallpaper.

I suddenly remembered that I had to pick a load of copra on Guam or something and made my exit.

Also, did I mention that she stayed in the closet for no reason? Yes. I understand that there are a lot of reasons a gay person struggling about their sexuality might want to keep pretending to be straight, but I can tell you, none of those reasons make much sense. For starters, she worked in the theater shop, in a community college, in a suburb of one of the bluest cities in America, in the one state that legalized homosexuality before Stonewall, so it’s not like homophobia seemed like that much of an issue. And she even told her mother she liked going to strip clubs with “titties and va-jay-jays.” And she still insisted she was straight, even after latching onto and even getting engaged to the one other bisexual girl in the scene shop.
