It helps to think of impeachment managers as prosecutors.  They are ALWAYS chosen from the party bringing the impeachment.  The Republicans in the Senate will appoint their own impeachment managers (you can think of those as the counsel for the defense).

It helps if you think of the whole thing as politically motivated - as it is - and not some high minded enforcement of the law - which it isn't.

Pelosi likes pretending she isn't partisan. If she wasn't she could have at least a token ( R ) on her team.

Her idea of "bi-partisan" is for a bunch of ( R )s to spontaneously switch sides....
