Abortion poll

RE: Abortion poll
Aha gottya ya murderers... Relax im just kidding

Maybe i should of been clearer about after birth abortion being only considered in born alive and poor baby health cases.
I said i didn't look into it much i just noticed there was a case for it so i added it. No booby traps... hmmm boobies

But anyway its only a small sample but results are very even all round so far

Id like to see this poll on a large sample of people of different demographics. It would look very even i think

All abortion illegal

Abortion legal up to 12 weeks

Not including medical emergencies, etc

Abortion legal up to 26 week
Not including medical emergencies, etc

Abortion legal up to birth

After birth abortion legal

There is no such thing as "after birth abortion". No ethical provider is going to do that. That is a bullshit myth the GOP uses to scare the religious right.

Now, as far as the rest of it. Any doctor worth their weight isn't going to put a timeline on performing one or not performing one. The factors that matter are health of the female, viability of the fetus, rape and incest.

The bigoted religious right is merely pro birth, not quality of life. Pro choice advocates do not go door to door and tell females to get knocked up just so we can have a party over an abortion. All we say is that if you want to reduce abortions, outlawing them wont work. We say better economics for females, better education for females, better health screening for females is a better way to reduce abortions. What the GOP is doing is simply religious crap to force females to make more club members.

noun: abortion; plural noun: abortions
1.
the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.

As far as I can tell, it isn’t practiced anywhere in the world and, if it were, would qualify as infanticide.

It’s a buzz word scare tactic, nothing more.

Boru

Buzz word scare tactics by the authors perhaps. Im just presenting the options to the question

Like u said, there is an argument for after birth abortion therefore i made it an option on the poll

After birth abortion is being performed in some states under the "Born alive" abortion bill

Anyway it's just a poll. Im not changing anyones mind. Their the options

The word you are searching for is 'infanticide'.

RE: Abortion poll
It really isn't, but that is the connection one is intended to make. Scrotus amplified the messaging at a wisconsin hate rally in late april of 2019, and it's been a nutball bete noir ever since.

The GOP would have their base believe...and their base incredibly does believe that they are voting against an existent cabal of evil women who give birth to children in order to kill them, and then farm their body parts. They think that this is really happening, and it doesn't seem to trip any alarms in their heads other than the alarm to save the bay-bees. This disgusting lie will be with them until the day they die. If they woke up tomorrow or twenty years from now.... and realized that it was not happening, they would only be convinced that they had defeated it.

RE: Abortion poll
Up to viability at around 20 weeks (varies per pregnancy), abortion should be available on request.

After viability it should be available if the mother's life would be at risk from continuing the pregnancy, if her mental health is under threat, or if there are serious health issues with the foetus.

I'll ignore the "after birth abortion" oxymoron.

I did try and put something like that in the poll with the 26 week option

I didn't invent the term "after birth abortion".
Two people have voted for it cos there is an argument for it to be used in certain circumstances

Ohh so that's what happened. Cos I thought i had heard a politician in the USA say something about it last year but didn't know who or where

RE: Abortion poll
You not inventing the term is not an excuse for you to use the term. It is an oxymoron, and I think it should not be used for that reason. I'm just stating my opinion though. if you really like it, it's your right to use it.

It is not significant that people voted for that option when 'after birth euthanasia' was not an option at all.

RE: Abortion poll
I obviously voted for the legal short term aspect, only because late term abortions do not apply to every woman. Yes, it should be legal to abort a late term fetus if the woman's life is extreme danger. Should it be legal for every woman who wants a late term abortion, no.

Well I may get shit for this but here goes.

I'm going to disagree with 20 weeks. The fetus is only "viable" if very extreme measures are taken. These measures have their own negative consequences, and the survivors always have long term, often debilitating, health issues.

If we want to strictly talk about a "no abortion" cut off based on age, from a medical standpoint, 28  to 32 weeks is more rational.

But then I'm a females choice kind of guy, in favor of no fetal age restrictions. Just because medical science "can" do a thing it does not mean it should.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
