You don't get to decide in the meaning of the Quran because you are not a Muslim.
But you have the right to live like what you want with the court of your own people. If you harm a Muslim though; you pay with the Muslim law. If a Muslim harms you, they pay in your law.

Except that as already noted there is no such thing as a "true" meaning of the Qu'ran. It can be interpreted in mutually contradictory terms on any matter.
The Muslims themselves are literally at each others throats because they can't agree on any point.
You yourself refute both Sunni and Shi'ite interpretations which would constitute the majority in any vote.
You disenfranchise any non-muslim and none of this does anything for your economic prospects.
Experience shows us that demolishing Islamic ports and burning their ships only provides temporary relief.



Ultimately only occupation can halt the piracy and slave trade. Even now slavery is starting again in the Muslim world whilst Sudan and Iran have begun piratical attacks.

That seems perfectly clear. 

You're a dreamer, of course. It's not likely to happen any time soon. But I don't see how dreaming of free and fair elections among Muslims, in order to establish a peaceful government, could be opposed by any reasonable person. 

The US doesn't have free and fair elections any more, so it's an ideal we can all share. 

Mr. Greene is advocating violence, which is exactly the kind of thing he accuses others of doing. But the imperial powers have been using exactly that kind of violence for centuries and it doesn't seem to be making things better. We all know that the slave markets opened in Libya -- after a long time of being closed -- only after Obama/Clinton used violence to take out the government there. 

Someday I would like to understand why people get so passionately worked up about a huge and diverse group of people [e.g. Muslims] to the point that they will advocate widespread violence on a public forum. It doesn't make sense to me.

He claims the 'late' Ottoman Empire was corrupt.
Every political and or religious entity is corrupt from the moment of its conception, including the one Atlass himself wants even before it has left the space between his ears.
The Ottomans were corrupt before they had left the service Ghengis Khan much less conquered an empire.
There is Yin and Yang, (for want of a better term) denying Mr Hyde is a part of our nature as much as Dr Jekyll does noone any good.
Authority carries with it an implicit threat of violence, these are hardly modern innovations or does not the Qu'ran threaten violence (eg. Hell) to those that deny its authority. Our own Mods carry the 'banhammer'.
Where exactly does Atlass think the boarders of his Caliphate should be, or should there be no boundary to his authority?
